US Soccer National C License Course Information The overall Objective of the C License is to enable candidates to acquire or future develop the basic core competencies (knowledge, skill, attitude and personal traits) necessary to work as a coach in a developmental and/or competitive 11v11 (Youth/Senior) environment.
National C License An individual must have held the D License for 12 months to register for the C License. Designed to focus on core coaching competencies for those leading competitive youth soccer, the C course takes 130 or more hours and consists of two meetings separated by a development period, usually lasting two to three months.
The C License costs between $1,000 – $2,000. B License Course. This four-to-five month course stresses player and team development.
The Blended National C License Course (C Course) is conducted in a blended format that combines an online experience with one in-person meeting. Coaches who register for this course can expect weekly learning opportunities that will feature a mixture of independent learning using online modules and live virtual meetings led by a licensed U.S. Soccer Instructor.

USSF "C" License . The C Course focuses on the core concepts of coaching. Eligibility. In order to register for the U.S. Soccer C course, all candidates must meet the following pre-requisites: At least 18 years of age; Have held a U.S. Soccer D license for at least 12 months-OR- meet the waiver guidelines Currently coaching
Course Duration: The C Licence program entails a minimum of 12 months and a maximum of 18 months of work. This includes the following: 4-day, in-person workshop; Course work; Demonstration of competency. Course Description: The C Licence workshop is the entry level course for the Licensing Stream pathway and prepares the coach to progress to the Development Stream (Children), Development Stream (Youth) or Performance Stream (Senior).
Applicants for a B license must be at least 18 years of age and "C" license held for a minimum of 12 months, unless granted a waiver due to coaching/playing experience or comparable licensing by another country. Applicants for an A license must be 21 years of age, and have held a "B" license certification for a minimum of one year. Absolutely no waivers will be considered for entrance into the course, per the USYSA.
